Do we really need new friends?

May 3, 2008

Do we really need new friends? Of course life would not be as exciting if a person has no friends. Personally, the need for new friends have not entered my mind recently as because I find the company of old ones enough. Chatting online in the hope of finding new friends has been really fun. However, I doubt that I could ever find a new friend to add to my long list. With my rather busy schedule and I have managed to fit online chatting in my day to day itinerary. Some gave me links to their page on 3gb where I could see their pictures and know more about them. Some even add friends just so they have a lot of them and never really cared if you become good personal friends and just someone who they met online.

These days, busy people such as myself who spend more time in their desk rather than outside really needs to connect with friends once in a while. Having a beer or just talking with friends really makes a difference not only for you but between peers.  Sure small talk are sometimes annoying like when you and the person you are chatting with online talks about the weather, politics, and trivial personal matters.
